Hey, this is my very first ever blog post! Very exciting!!! A few days ago I discovered Konad nail stamping, and it has unleashed a whole new obsession :D
I've decided to start with Sponging, as this really makes the Konad design 'pop' and adds a whole new level of professionalism.
Futuristic Purple/Silver Nails
1- To begin I shaped my nails and applied a base-coat. I used Rimmel's Stronger Double Duty Base Coat. I am trying to grow my nails, it has only been a few days but I have already noticed they are a lot stronger. b
I done two coats and then allowed to dry.
2- I than painted each nail with a coat of Rimmel's I Heart Lasting Finish in Silver - 239 Your Majesty. I allowed this to dry completely.
3- For the next step I took a normal make-up sponge, (very cheap-from the pound shop!) and painted a corner with a dark Purple shade, Rimmel's 60 Seconds - 400 Starlet. I started dabbing at the tip and then as the varnish was used I dabbed it down the nail, creating a fading impression. After the first coat of purple had dried completely I then went over the tips again to make them darker.
4- When this had dried I painted a final Top Coat using No7's Stay Perfect - Clear 20.
I really like the finished design, it received a lot of comments and compliments and has lasted two days so far without chipping!
